TASK O'FIT
Jeet Kune Do for Children Ages 6-12

The Keiki Warrior program, like our adult classes, focuses on self-defense through our Jeet Kune Do curriculum. This curriculum for the kids includes Lee Jun Fan Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Kali (weapons training using single and double stick using the Inosanto-Lacoste method),  attribute and skill development, memorization, fitness and character education, development, and accountability. Our martial arts curriculum is different as it is not based in sport, but rather self-defense and has been tested and proven to be effective in an actual self-defense situations.

Through our curriculum, our keiki will learn a combination of the arts in order to help them achieve a  development in every range and skill set that we offer, while equipping them with the self defense, self confidence and self awareness they need to become well rounded martial artists.

Our keiki will develop their memory, understanding and fine motor skills through Kali. Jeet Kune Do will enhance their gross and fine motor skills, balance, agility and strength and a ground self defense through aspects of Gracie Jiu Jitsu will help them to become more self aware.

Developed by a Master in Exercise Science with a Speciality in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention, our keiki experience a physical fitness and self-defense program designed specifically for them from 6-12 years of age. This specified program will improve coordination, balance, motor skills, strength, agility, speed and flexibility.

Bruce Lee developed the art and concept of Jeet Kune Do (JKD), to promote positive change, adaptation, fluidity, understanding, and avoid rigidity when it comes to learning in martial arts and in life. That is what our keiki will learn, practice, and take with them through life. Martial arts is a lifestyle that becomes very much a part of you as a child or adult. It will be defining and redefining as our keiki go through their critical development stages throughout their lives. Martial arts, and especially JKD will better equip them to be able to handle some of life’s most challenging moments and times. This will happen not only from the curriculum we teach and instil, but through the community of students we have built.
